Job Vacancy - QC Inspector
Overall purpose of the job
Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, the main objective of the QC Inspector is to provide QC dimensional inspection of all products manufactured to ensure 100% compliance to the manufacturing drawing.
Working in a subcontract machine shop, which manufactures a multitude of Subsea Equipment / Components and Piping connections.
The QC Inspector is responsible for all QC services with specific emphasis on ensuring the timely movement of components through the inspection room to meet Client deadlines.
The incumbent needs to ensure sustaining working relationships with internal manufacturing to ensure that components are received and shipped to the highest specification to meet Client deadlines.
Particular emphasis will be placed on ensuring that Gall Engineering Ltd.’s ISO9001 system is adhered to at all times
Delivery of a first-class service is paramount, whilst maintaining the highest quality and the lowest cost. On-time delivery is critical, therefore planning and time-keeping are essential elements in this role.
Job Knowledge and Experience
High level inspection skills using measuring equipment required Including Gaugemaker, MRP's, Shadowgraphs and Mic-track.
Pipe connection and mechanical inspection experience a must. Minimum 3 years experience
Excellent mechanical aptitude.
Understanding of manufacturing drawings
Understanding of CNC Machining operations.
Able to read material certificates.
Proven work ethic.
Excellent communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work unsupervised while clearly executing instructions.
Self-motivation and ability to work in a team environment.
High awareness of QHSE requirements.
Excellent computer skills.
Valid driver’s licence.
